Compressed Time Frame BScN Program

The Compressed Time Frame Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is an accelerated program that prepares students with previous post-secondary education for careers as Registered Nurses (RN) and qualifies graduates to apply for registration with the .

 

One Program, Three Streams

Regular CTF Stream

A 19-month stream for students who have completed at least 2 years of university education.

A 19-month stream for RPNs who completed a PN program within Ontario and have also completed at least 1 year of university education.

A 22-month stream for experienced RPN/LPNs who are registered to practice in Ontario. Previous university education is not required.

Please Note:

Full-Time Study

All students in any stream of the Compressed Time Frame program are expected to maintain a full-time program of study. In exceptional circumstances and only with special permission (special permissions may be issued by the academic advisor on behalf of the Dean), a student may make modifications to this course load.

Progression Requirements

All students in the BScN Program must:

  • Successfully complete all courses for each level of the program before proceeding to the next level’s lab, sim, or clinical courses and corresponding theory course(s).
  • Complete the program within four academic years calculated from the initial date of registration in the School of Nursing.
  • Meet the progression requirements and maintain a satisfactory level.
  • Submit documentation for all medical and non-medical pre-placement requirements.
