Thesis-Based Programs
The Master of Science in Nursing and Doctoral Programs involve courses that are tailored to students’ progression towards carrying out research through completion of a thesis or dissertation. Students’ supervised research experiences align with the School’s research areas of focus in: digital health; mental health and wellness; global and Indigenous health; violence, gender and health; and women’s health. Faculty support students in these programs to impact societal health by engaging in courses and research to transform education, services, systems, and policies.
Master of Science (MScN)
The MScN program is ideal for students with a strong interest in research, and also students who may considering the possibility of advancing their knowledge and research through the pursuit of a doctoral degree.
Doctoral Program (PhD)
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program prepares nurse scientists to conduct research and to assume major roles in the development, evaluation, and dissemination of knowledge about issues of interest to nursing.
