Neuroplasticity in Sensory Systems Lab
About the Lab
Lab Director
The Neuroplasticity in Sensory Systems Lab studies how different early life experiences influence the structure and function of the brain, with a focus on the consequences of early sensory loss. Our translational approach combines data from humans and animal models of hearing loss to examine how sensory brain regions are reorganized to adapt to altered inputs. Studies in the lab combine behavioural, anatomical, and neuroimaging approaches in an effort to develop a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms that underlie functional adaptations following hearing loss.
