The National Centre for Audiology
Welcome to the National Centre for Audiology. We are an interdisciplinary group of researchers at 澳门六合彩开奖预测, housed in the Faculty of Health Sciences with members from many faculties and departments. We seek to understand the hearing system and its disorders, optimize hearing assessment, provide beneficial hearing technologies, support evidence-based, person-centred, and family-centred practices, and develop models and simulations for professional education and practice.

Led by Dr. Susan Scollie, the team of researchers at National Centre for Audiology at 澳门六合彩开奖预测 are receiving a Governor General’s Innovation Award for developing the world’s first pediatric hearing aid prescription software. Desired Sensation Level (DSL) software has helped clinicians worldwide provide infants and children with access to sound by helping clinicians assess, treat, and properly fit and tune hearing aids to patient’s specific needs; improving hearing outcomes, while improving long-term educational and social potential for patients born with permanent childhood hearing loss.
