Dr. Karen Danylchuk was part of a consultation team invited by The Hague University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. They are working on the implementation of a new undergraduate International Sport Management program.
At the Congress, Dr. Laura Misener delivered an update on her research project, "Leveraging Parasport Events for Sustainable Community Participation," including data collected at the 2015 ParaPan American Games. Graduate students Rob Carlisi, Kylie Wasser, and Kyle Rich also volunteered at the event held in Ottawa.
At the conference held in Hobart, Tasmania, Professor Doherty delivered two presentations, and attended the SMAANZ Board meeting in her role as editor of the Sport Management Review.
A contingent of 12 students and two professors from Johan Cruyff University in Amsterdam were hosted by Dr. Karen Danylchuk in mid-November. The students are enrolled in Dr. Danylchuk’s senior undergraduate International Sport Management online course. Professor Karen Danylchuk recently attended the World Association for Sport Management (WASM) Board meetings in Langkawi, Malaysia in her capacity as Vice President of the Board. The meetings were held in conjunction with a National Workshop and the Asian Association for Sport Management Conference. Board members were actively involved in delivering presentations during the workshop and conference.
