Brian Innes Health Studies Rural Health Award
About the Award
Awarded annually to a senior undergraduate student in the School of Health Studies, with preference given to a student who has excelled in the third-year rural health course (Health Sciences 3010F/G) and/or Health Policy (Health Sciences 3400A/B). This award was established through Foundation 澳门六合彩开奖预测 by family and friends in memory of Brian Innes who was a faculty member in the School of Health Studies.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit a one-page statement outlining their interest in rural health/rural health policy along with the application form (below) to shsinfo@uwo.ca. The School of Health Studies will select the recipient based upon academic achievement in the above courses, career aspirations which include rural health and related personal experience.

Awarded to the top student proceeding from second year to third year of the Bachelor of Health Sciences program in the School of Health Studies.

The Parents Fund Award
About the Award
Awarded annually to an undergraduate student in any year beyond year one in Kinesiology, Nursing or Health Studies, who has achieved at least a 75% average while demonstrating leadership in the community and participating in extra-curricular activities.
How to Apply
Application forms are available from the and must be submitted no later than September 30. Recipients will be chosen by the Faculty of Health Sciences Scholarship Committee. Established in 1997 through the generosity of 澳门六合彩开奖预测 parents.

School of Health Studies Award of Recognition
About the Award
This award recognizes well-rounded students who combine distinguished talents with character, leadership potential, and a commitment to 澳门六合彩开奖预测, the School of Health Studies, Faculty of Health Sciences, and/or the community.
How to Apply
Nominations for the Award of Recognition will be accepted beginning in Term 2 for BHSc students who best exemplify citizenship and academic achievement. Academic achievement must be a minimum average of 75%. Self nominations are accepted. Applicants must submit the application form listed below no later than the last day of classes in April each year. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Value: This is a non-monetary award. The winner will have their name placed on a plaque and be formally recognized at the School of Health Studies annual convocation reception in June.

Needs-based Awards
Dr. Dan Belliveau Memorial Bursary
About the Award
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student in any year of the Bachelor of Health Sciences program in the Faculty of Health Sciences who demonstrates financial need. Dr. Dan Belliveau served 澳门六合彩开奖预测 in a variety of roles, including as Undergraduate Chair and Director of the School of Health Studies. As a leader, Dan brought people together and possessed a unique way of uniting colleagues. He was the recipient of numerous teaching awards and shared a passion for teaching and learning that inspired others. A neuroscientist and gross anatomist by training, his research focused on three-dimensional representations of anatomy and their enhancement of the learning environment, and the factors that influence the successful transition into higher education. This bursary was established by a generous gift from Margaret Belliveau and friends and family in memory of Dr. Dan Belliveau.

Online financial assistance applications are available through Student Center and must be submitted by October 31. The Office of the Registrar will select the recipient.

Dick and Zelma Fisher Distance Clinical Education Award
About the Award
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who is entering second year or beyond in the School of Nursing, Kinesiology or Health Studies, and who is participating in a rural placement. Recipients will be selected based on academic standing and demonstrated financial need. This award was established by Marnie Denyes, Elizabeth McInnis, Kate McInnis and Sara McInnis.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit a one-page statement outlining projected accommodation and travel costs to the appropriate School office by March 1. The Faculty of Health Sciences will select the recipient.

Founders Awards
About the Award
Awarded to full-time students in any year beyond Year 1, in any Honors or Four-Year Bachelor of Health Sciences degree program, based on academic achievement (minimum 75% average in previous year of study) and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students who do not hold another academic award at the time of selection. These awards were established by Mr. James Carson and his family.
How to Apply
Applications can be accessed online through the and must be submitted by September 30. Candidates who have demonstrated financial need will be selected in order of highest to lowest academic achievement based on the overall average in the previous year.
