Dr. Kloseck is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, cross-appointed to the Schulich School of Medicine (Geriatric Medicine), Director of the endowed and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) funded Sam Katz Community Health and Aging Research Unit and the former Director of the School of Health Studies at 澳门六合彩开奖预测, Canada. She is a Scientist with the Lawson Health Research Institute (LHRI) and has over 35 years clinical, research, community development and academic experience. Dr. Kloseck is known for her novel work engaging communities, consumers and frail older individuals as active research partners and for her innovative use of community capacity building and peer-led models to improve health and chronic disease outcomes in communities of seniors. Dr. Kloseck is one of few researchers in Canada with demonstrated success involving frailer older adults and communities as true collaborative research partners with the health care system and private industry. Her innovative research is internationally recognized and she has won a number of awards for her original research. Dr. Kloseck’s work is funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Health Canada, Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and private industry.
