Allison H. Johnson Scholarship in Philosophy
Awarded to a student completing the third year of an Honors Bachelor degree with either an Honours Specialization in Philosophy or a double Major including Philosophy who plans to continue in fourth year of the program at 澳门六合彩开奖预测. The recipient must have an average of at least 80% and have demonstrated particular excellence in both philosophy and non-philosophy courses. Barry and Alison Brown 125th Anniversary Alumni Award
Awarded to a full-time student in Year 2 or higher of an Honors Specialization in Philosophy or double Major in Philosophy based on a minimum 70% average. Preference will be given to students in Year 2. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities Scholarships and Awards Committee will select the recipient. Bentley Scholarship and Gold Medal in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
Awarded annually to an undergraduate student graduating from the fourth year in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities with the highest overall academic average. The Scholarship Committee in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities will select the recipient each spring. This award was established with a generous gift from Dr. David M.R. Edna Jeffery Scholarships
Awarded for the highest standing in the second year of an Honors Specialization in Psychology, Computer Science, Philosophy, or Kinesiology or an Honors Bachelor degree in a double Major which includes a Major offered by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. These awards were bequeathed to the University by the late Mrs. Edna Jeffery. Value: 5 at $500 each
Garth and Wilma Lambert Entrance Scholarship in Arts and Humanities
Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student entering Year 1 of any program in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, based on academic achievement (minimum 80% average). The Office of the Registrar will select the recipient. This scholarship was established with a generous gift from Professor Garth R. Lambert and his wife Wilma Lambert. Value: 1 at $1,500
Garth and Wilma Lambert Scholarship in Arts and Humanities
Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students in any year, of any program, in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, based on academic achievement (minimum 80% average) and demonstrated financial need. Online financial assistance applications are available through the Office of the Registrar's website and must be submitted by September 30th. The scholarship committee in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities will select the recipients after the Office of the Registrar assesses for financial need. This scholarship was established with a generous gift from Professor Garth R. Lambert and his wife Wilma Lambert. Value: 2 at $1,500
Godsoe Family Bursary
Awarded annually to a student registered in the Faculty of Social Science or the Faculty of Arts and Humanities who has strong academic standing and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is taking courses with the department of Economics, History, and Philosophy and who is registered at the main campus, however is taking one course at Huron University College. Established through the generosity of Peter Godsoe and family. Value: 1 at $2,600
Godsoe Scholar Award
Awarded annually to an undergraduate student in Year 2 of an Honors Bachelor degree with an Honors Specialization or double Major which includes Economics, History or Philosophy, based on academic achievement (minimum 80% average). Students pursuing dual degrees (combined or concurrent) are not eligible. The scholarship will continue for Years 3 and 4 provided that the recipient continues in an Honors Specialization or double Major which includes Economics, History or Philosophy, and maintains a minimum 80% average and a 5.0-course load. If a recipient fails to retain the scholarship for Year 3, no replacement recipient will be selected, and she/he may regain the scholarship for Year 4 (see appeals note below). This scholarship was established by a generous donation from the Godsoe Family and is held with Foundation 澳门六合彩开奖预测. Note: The University will use the scholarship appeals process, which is available to students over the summer, to assist Godsoe Scholars who are not maintaining an 80% average. Harold Johnson Memorial Scholarship In Mediaeval Philosophy
Awarded to a full-time undergraduate student in Philosophy or a full-time graduate student in a Masters or Doctoral program in Philosophy based on academic achievement (minimum 80% academic average), to enable the recipient to attend the International Mediaeval Congress. A committee appointed by the Chair of the Department of Philosophy will select the recipient. Value: 2 at $1,000
Morris and Sophia Hornstein Bursaries
Available to students with demonstrated financial need who are entering second, third, and fourth year of an Honors Bachelor degree with either an Honors Specialization in Anthropology, Geography, Philosophy, Sociology or Political Science or a double Major including any of these subjects. Value: 1 at $1,400
Sarah J. Shorten UWO Faculty Association Scholarship
Awarded to a student with the best academic performance in the second year of a program in Philosophy, who has taken at least three full Philosophy courses, no more than one of which is at the 1000-level. Endowed in memory of the late Sarah Shorten by colleagues and friends. Value: 1 at $1,000
