About Us

Climate change, waste reduction, ecosystem management, and land conservation are all current challenges locally and globally — our society needs an increasing number of environmental professionals to address these challenges across a variety of organizations including not-for-profit, government, and corporations. Developing such professionals is the main mission of the Master of Environment and Sustainability (MES) at 澳门六合彩开奖预测.

The MES is a one-year, course-based, professional master's program, offering experiential learning opportunities throughout the year. We are particularly proud of the diversity of students joining the program including, students with a background in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, business, and engineering. This diversity is leveraged through collaborations required to complete projects within a variety of courses as well as workshops delivered over the first eight months of the program. The Master of Environment and Sustainability (MES) concludes with a summer co-op, of which more than 90% are paid.

The program components are designed to deliver practical skills. In addition to the experiential learning gained through the summer cooperative work-term experience, all students take a consulting course in the winter term. This course allows student teams to engage as consultants addressing an environment or sustainability challenge on behalf of a real firm, government, or not-for-profit organization. Furthermore, a series of five to seven professional development workshops are delivered by professionals representing industry and other organizations who are well versed in the practices of key environmental and managerial skills.
