Jim Dickey, PhD
Education
- PhD (Queen's)
- BSc, MSc (Waterloo)
Research In Profile
Professor Jim Dickey works with students to conduct research in several areas including occupational whole-body vibration, joint injury & modelling, and concussion. Within the research on concussion, he has studied head impact exposures in sports and their neurological and cognitive consequences. Within the research on joint injury & modelling, he has studied injuries in professional hockey, and performance of hockey goaltenders. Within the research on whole-body vibration, he has studied vibration exposures for operators of off road mobile machinery, the effects of sitting posture on vibration exposure and the effects of industrial seats on attenuating vibration.
Please note that he is not currently accepting new students for supervision.
