Program Information
You can receive a B.Sc. or a B.A. upon completion of one of our modules. For a B.Sc. you must complete 11.0 science courses out of 20.0 courses for a 4 year degree while registered in the Faculty of Science.
Students that have not taken Grade 12U Biology (SBI4U), Grade 12U Chemistry (SCH4U), and/or a Grade 12U Mathematics should consult with the Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics Departments, respectively, to discuss options for taking the appropriate first year courses that will be equivalent to or provide entry into the admission courses required for the Environmental Science modules.
Environmental Science Module Admission and Modules Offered
Module Admission
All of our modules have common admission requirement courses.
Students interested in the Honors Specialization module must complete the first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.5 principal courses, with no mark in admission requirement courses below 60%:
Students interested in the Specialization, Major and Minor modules must complete the first-year requirements, with no mark in the admission requirement courses below 60%:
- Biology or and or
- Chemistry and
- 0.5 course from: Environmental Science , or a 1000-level half course in Geography, or Earth Sciences , , , , or Physics , , , , , , , , or the former Physics 1026;
- 1.0 course from: Calculus or , Calculus or , Mathematics , , or , Statistical Sciences , Applied Mathematics or the former Calculus 1100A/B or Linear Algebra .

You can enroll in a module after the first year requirements are met. Our modules can be combined with many other modules offered in other Faculties and Departments to enhance your degree and are also available as Post-Degree Modules. See Academic Calendar for specific requirements.
