Environmental Science students have the opportunity to apply for awards that are need-based or merit based.
Need Based Bursaries
Need based bursaries are available to full-time students that show genuine financial need. To be eligible for any needs-based bursary, students must complete and submit a application, which can be found on the Student Services , by September 30th of each year. Ivey Foundation Continuing Award in Environmental Science
Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student entering his or her third year of study who is pursuing a Honors Specialization in Environmental Science in the Faculty of Science, based on a minimum 75% average, demonstrated financial need, and involvement in environmental activities. This award will continue provided that the recipient maintains an average of 75%, a full-time course load in the Honors Specialization in Environmental Science program, and continues to demonstrate financial need each year. The on-line Financial Assistance Application can be accessed through the Office of the Registrar's and must be submitted, together with a one-page statement describing how the candidate is involved in environmental activities both on and off campus, by October 31 of each year. The recipient will be selected by the Scholarships and Awards Committee in the Faculty of Science, in consultation with the Centre for Environment and Sustainability, after the Registrar's Office has assessed financial need. This award is offered through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) program, and recipients must meet Ontario residency requirements.

AER Bursary in Environment and Sustainability Studies in Science
Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students in any Honors Specialization, Specialization or Major in an Environment and Sustainability Module, in the Faculty of Science, with demonstrated financial need. The Centre for Environment and Sustainability will identify eligible environment and sustainability programs in the Faculty of Science to the Registrar's Office each year. An online financial assistance application is available through Student Center and must be submitted by October 31st. The Office of the Registrar will determine financial need and then select the recipients.

AER Global Opportunities Award for Environmental Science
Awarded bi-annually (Fall/Winter) to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Environmental Science program. These scholarships enable students to participate in a 澳门六合彩开奖预测 international experience or study abroad program for which academic credit or approval from the department or faculty will be obtained. This includes academic exchange programs; approved study abroad programs; curriculum based international field courses/research; international community service learning; volunteer opportunities and internships led by 澳门六合彩开奖预测.
To qualify for these awards, the experience must meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Be organized by 澳门六合彩开奖预测 staff, faculty or department
• Be eligible for academic credit OR
• Form a required component of the student's degree program
Students participating in any of the above listed programs who are registered at the constituent University may be considered. Students must have completed their prescribed academic program the previous year and currently be registered in a full-time course load (minimum 3.5 full courses). Students may apply for this award in advance of being accepted into an eligible international learning program with receipt of the award contingent upon acceptance into the program. Application is through the website. The deadline for submissions is March 15. Awards will be announced in early May.

Merit Based Awards
NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Assistantships (USRA)
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada provides USRA awards for undergraduates students to engage in research on University campuses. These assistantships are available to students during summer terms. These are competitive positions. Environmental Science students that are applying to take up an USRA at 澳门六合彩开奖预测 should apply through the Department where their supervisor of interest is located. Each department will have different deadlines so it's important to inquire early in the academic year.
