Merit-Based

Albert E. Wells Scholarship

Description: Awarded to a student registered in third year of an Honors Specialization in Chemistry or double Major in an Honors degree that includes Chemistry, who has the best overall record in second year of the Chemistry program.

Requirements: Must be registered in either third year of Honors Specialization in Chemistry or double Major in Honors which includes Chemistry.

Chemistry Alumni Award

Description: Awarded to an undergraduate student in year 4 of an Honors Specialization in Chemistry (preferred) or a double Major in an Honors degree which includes Chemistry, based on academic achievement. Preference will be given to students not in receipt of any other award or scholarship. This award was established through Foundation 澳门六合彩开奖预测.

Requirements: Must be registered in either fourth year of Honors Specialization in Chemistry or double Major in Honors which includes Chemistry.

Chemistry Alumni Scholarship

Description: Awarded to an undergraduate student in year 4 of an Honors Specialization in Chemistry or a double Major which includes Chemistry, based on academic achievement. Chemistry Class of 1950 Scholarship

Description: The recipient will be selected by the Chair of the Department of Chemistry from recommendations made by the Undergraduate Committee of the Department of Chemistry. This scholarship was established through Foundation 澳门六合彩开奖预测 by the members of Chemistry Class of 1950 and Chemistry and Physics Class of 1950 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary Reunion September 22-24, 2000, in London.

Requirements: Awarded to a full-time student entering the third year of an Honors Specialization in Chemistry (preferred) or double Major in an Honors degree which includes Chemistry. This scholarship will be based on academic achievement of at least 80% in the second year of studies and be awarded to a student not receiving another scholarship of greater value.

James D. McNabb Scholarship in Chemistry

Description: Awarded to the student registered in fourth year of an Honors Specialization in Chemistry (preferred) or a double Major in an Honors degree which includes Chemistry, who has the best overall record in the third year of the program. Requirements: Must be registered in either fourth year of Honors Specialization in Chemistry or double Major in Honors which includes Chemistry.

Oakley and Marion Dean Continuing Scholarships

Description: This scholarship will continue until the recipients complete the Honors Specialization in Chemistry, as long as the recipients meet the criteria for continuing scholarships as outlined by UWO. If any of the recipients fail to meet these requirements, another student from the same year will be selected based on the criteria stated herein. These scholarships were made possible by a generous donation from Oakley (Arts '32) and Marion Dean through Foundation 澳门六合彩开奖预测.

Requirements: Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students entering year 1 in the Faculty of Science who intend to register in the Honors Specialization in Chemistry in year 2 and achieve an 85% admission average.

Needs Based

Theodor Ackermann Continuing Award

Description: This award will continue in Years 3 and 4 provided that the recipient continues full-time in his or her Chemistry degree program, maintains a 70% average and demonstrates financial need each year. If the recipient does not qualify to continue receiving the award, another student from the same year will be selected as a replacement. Only one student can hold this award at any given time. Applications can be accessed online through Student Center and must be submitted by September 30. The Office of the Registrar will determine financial need and the Faculty of Science will select the recipient. This award was established by a gift from the estate of Mrs. Ellen Ackermann.

Requirements: Awarded to an undergraduate student in Year 2 of an Honors Bachelor of Science degree, with an Honors Specialization in Chemistry or a double Major that includes Chemistry, based on academic achievement (minimum 70% average) and financial need.

James Hall Norton Memorial Award

Description: The award will continue in Years 3 and 4, provided that the recipient maintains the criteria outlined above and demonstrates financial need each year. If a recipient fails to retain the award, another student from the same year will be selected as a replacement. Applications can be accessed online through Student Center and must be submitted by September 30. The Faculty of Science will select the recipient. This award was established by Mrs. Ella R. Norton (BA'46) in memory of her husband Mr. James Hall Norton (BA '44, Honors Chemistry, MSc '45) through Foundation 澳门六合彩开奖预测.

Requirements: Awarded to a full-time student in Year 2 of an Honors Bachelor of Science degree program who is pursuing an Honors Specialization in Chemistry, or a double Major that includes both Chemistry and Biochemistry, based on academic achievement (minimum 80% average) and financial need.

Recipients: Sofia Sirohey & Adyn Gavin Melenbacher

Gavin and Jane Cameron Hamilton Award

Description: First preference will be given to students in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, with second preference to students in Physics, Chemistry or Engineering. Online financial assistance applications are available through Student Center and must be completed by September 30th. The Office of the Registrar will select the recipients. This award was established by Dr. Gavin Hamilton (MD '55) in memory of his parents, Gavin and Jane Cameron Hamilton.

Requirements: Awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students, in any year of any program, with a minimum 70% average and demonstrated financial need, who are from the St. Thomas/Elgin County area.

Recipient: Has yet to be awarded.
