Why did you choose Arts and Humanities at 澳门六合彩开奖预测?

I chose to be part of the Arts and Humanities faculty because I knew that it meant that I would be able to pursue studies that I was truly passionate about. It’s a small faculty, too, which means that there is a real sense of community among the students and staff.

What is one highlight of your 澳门六合彩开奖预测 experience so far?

One of the biggest highlights of 澳门六合彩开奖预测 has been the opportunity to learn about new cultures from courses,maggie_hiking.jpg professors, and, most importantly, other students, some of whom have travelled across the globe to study here.

After graduation, I plan on becoming certified to teach English abroad. I think this experience will serve as a beneficial break from the routine of school while allowing me to see the world and improve my language skills before I pursue further studies in translation

What advice would you give to incoming Arts and Humanities students?

Get involved and put effort into the things that you love. There are so many opportunities on campus and within the Arts and Humanities faculty that will allow you to really hone your skills and gain valuable experience in the meantime. In doing so, you’ll meet many like-minded individuals. Also, consider exchange! Living outside of your own culture can be incredibly beneficial, and learning to appreciate and understand other cultures is such an important part of the educated empathy our faculty promotes.

What is the best thing about your department?

The best thing about the Linguistics department, in my experience, is that it is so interdisciplinary. Through linguistics courses, I’ve been able to cultivate my love of French and Spanish, as well as interact with students from other faculties whose own interests have brought them to study one of the many fascinating topics the department has to offer.
