Why did you choose Arts and Humanities at 澳门六合彩开奖预测?

My courses have allowed me to not only learn about the world, but also to apply that knowledge in new and creative ways toward my own work. Being trained to do this at the undergraduate level has been extremely enriching. I write poetry outside of school, and have really enjoyed meeting other people working on their own artforms. Even if you do not consider yourself an “artist”, the community is a tight-knit and supportive space for anyone.

What is one highlight of your 澳门六合彩开奖预测 experience so far?

kate_2.jpgI really enjoyed being a soph (orientation leader/mentor) for off-campus first year Arts & Humanities students. It was great to use my experiences to provide support for new students throughout the entire year, as well as to experience Orientation Week in a leadership capacity.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be working in management consulting. I anticipate much of my work falling at the intersection of technology and people; a space where the critical thinking skills that I’ve developed through my Arts & Humanities education will be incredibly valuable.

What advice would you give to incoming Arts and Humanities students?

It’s a privilege to study something you are passionate about with the guidance and support of the wonderful A&H professors. Treat the opportunity to do so with reverence, and make the most of being in a space where you can learn so deeply and so broadly in such a small period of time.

What is the best thing about your department?

Everyone in my department—undergraduate students, graduate students, administrators, and professors—cares about making the world better in some small way. It is a wonderful community of caring people.
