1. Strategic Planning Task Force

Composition: Includes:

The Vice-President (Administration) and General Counsel, the Vice-President (Research), the Vice-President (External), and the Director of Institutional Planning & Budgeting will serve as resource persons. The Executive Assistant to the President will serve as Secretary to the Task Force.

The members named by the Board of Governors are: Stephen Adams, Bob Colcleugh, Carol McAulay-Weldon, and Ron Yamada. The Administrative Staff representative is Sue Desmond. The UWOFA representative and the member named by the President have not yet been announced.

Required: Seven persons named by Senate, including an undergraduate student and a graduate student.

Five tenured members of Faculty who are eligible for Senate membership, none of whom shall be below the rank of Associate Professor. No more than three shall be at the same academic rank and no more than one shall be from the same Faculty. No more than one shall be a Department Chair.

No member of SCPT-I may also be a member of SCPT-II or the Senate Committee on Appeals.

At least three of these five members of Faculty shall have been members of a Faculty Committee on Promotion and Tenure or of the Senate Committee on Promotion and Tenure I, or the Senate Committee on Promotion and Tenure II, within five years of the date of election of the Senate Committee on Appeals [marked * on the list below].

7. Ad Hoc Subcommittee to Nominate an Administrative Staff Senator

There were no nominations for Administrative Staff representative on the Senate (term November 1, 2000, to October 31, 2002) prior to the deadline for nominations. In order to fill this vacancy, Senate election regulations state that an ad hoc Nominating Subcommittee composed of five members of the administrative staff, appointed by the Senate Nominating Committee, chaired by the Chair of the Senate Nominating Committee, shall nominate a replacement to Senate, through the Operations/Agenda Committee.
