Recommended: That the Composition of the Library Council be amended as follows:

One representative from each of the following:

Faculties of Health Sciences, Medicine & Dentistry, and Science elected by the Sciences Library Committee
Faculty of Law appointed by the Dean
Faculty of Social Science elected by the Faculty Council
Faculty of Communications and Open Learning appointed by the Dean
University Students' Council elected by the Students' Council
Society of Graduate Students elected by the Society of Graduate Students

Background:

Changes in the composition of University Library Council are required as a result of the recent mergers of faculties.

2. DISBANDING OF SCUP SUBCOMMITTEE ON BUDGETARY AFFAIRS

Recommended: That the SCUP Subcommittee on Budgetary Affairs (SUBA) be disbanded.

Background:

SCUP recommends the dissolution of the Subcommittee on Budgetary Affairs (SUBA) since all of its business is ultimately transacted within the full committee. It is also the case that contextual and other planning information is brought to SCUP and discussed in a context broader than that generally considered by SUBA.
