Recommended: That the membership of the standing committees of the Board for the period February 2001, through January 2002, be approved as shown in Annex 1.
Recommended: That the Board of Governors approve the 2002 meeting dates for the Board of Governors, the Senior Operations Committee, and the Property & Finance Committee as detailed on Annex 2.
Recommended: That Property & Finance and Senior Operations meet on September 10, 2001, rather than September 17 as earlier scheduled.
FOR INFORMATION
Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco took office as the 60th Mayor of the City of London in December 2000. Her political career in London includes service as Councillor for Ward 5 (1991-97) and Deputy Mayor and Budget Chair (1997-2000). She was the London City Council representative for the London's successful bid for the 2001 Canada Summer Games.
A 1986 graduate of Fanshawe College, Anne Marie DeCicco had a long and rewarding career as a radio news reporter and broadcaster before entering politics, and she taught Communication and Voice Development at Fanshawe College from 1995-97. In addition, she has been actively involved in community work, including serving as a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society, The United Way of Greater London and Middlesex, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and London Green Horizons.
Warden Al Edmondson
Warden of Middlesex County, Al Edmondson, took office in December 2000. He has held public office for ten years, including a term as Chair of Parks and Recreation in London Township. A graduate of 澳门六合彩开奖预测 (BA) and London Teacher's College, Mr. Edmondson taught in the London Board of Education and Middlesex County Board of Education. He is now retired from teaching.
The Mayor and the Warden are ex officio (voting) members of the University's Board of Governors.
Senate
Carol McAulay-Weldon has been reappointed to Senate for a two-year term ending February 1, 2003.
King's College Board of Governors
Alan Weedon has been appointed to the King's College Board of Governors for a three-year term ending January 16, 2004.
Brescia College Council of Trustees
Kevin McQuillan has been appointed to the Brescia College Council of Trustees for a three-year term ending January 16, 2004.
Thompson Recreation and Athletic Centre Advisory Committee
Tom Vine has been re-appointed to the TRAC Advisory Committee for a three-year term ending February 1, 2004.
