Background:
The attached (Annexes 1A and 1B) are based closely upon the policies and procedures adopted by both the University of California system (all campuses) and more recently by the University of Toronto. It is proposed that what the University of California and the University of Toronto call a "policy", be called a "Statement of Principles for Trademark Licensing" to avoid confusion with °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ô¤²â's "Policies and Procedures" on Licensed Commercial Use of University Name and Trademarks (, attached as Annex 2).
Other distinctions of the proposed Statement of Principles and Code of Conduct from those of the University of California and University of Toronto are:
The University of Toronto has granted permission to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ô¤²â to use their document. Permission has been requested from the University of California.
