Escape From Cell-catraz
Grade Level: Grades 11 and 12
Description
Your team has been engulfed by an enormous cell. The cell recognizes you as a foreign invader and has alerted the immune system. Work together to complete 4 biology-themed challenges and escape before the cell is destroyed! This escape-room style event will test your team’s logic and quick-thinking skills as you solve a set of puzzles based around the topics of Cell Biology, Transcription, Translation and Protein Synthesis. Puzzles are designed to be completed in order, meaning your team will need to complete “puzzle #1” before attempting “puzzle #2”, and so on. The challenges will be geared toward grade 11/12 biology students.

Materials
All materials will be provided. Just bring your wits!
Judging
This event will be judged based on each team's ability to complete the 4 puzzles to “Escape the Cell”. Each puzzle is worth 10 points. If multiple teams manage to complete all the puzzles and “escape”, the team with the fastest time is the winner.
