Downburst SE of Winnipeg on Aug 24
An NTP investigation identified downburst damage southeast of Winnipeg from a supercell storm on August 24th. There was nearly continuous light damage along a wide path from Meadowvale to Richer, MB. Numerous trees were snapped or had large branches down and there was light damage to a few structures (e.g. some shingles off) and to a solar panel.Details are provided in the event summary below, including two survey photos.

Description: Photos of damage received over social media. A ground survey found scattered damage over a long and wide path, including numerous trees damaged and some light damage to few structures. Damage assessed as EF0 downburst, with an estimated max. wind speed of 115 km/h, and a max. width near 2500 m. Orientation of damage swath was from NW to SE (from approx. 315 degrees). Satellite imagery review is pending. Start time is based on witness recollection and radar.
