EF0 tornado at Wyoming, ON

Localized damage was reported after a brief supercell thunderstorm hit the Wyoming, ON area on the evening of July 19th. An NTP survey team was sent to collect data for classification and assessment. The team turned up enough evidence to classify the damage as tornadic and assess the intensity as EF0 on the EF scale. Details are provided in the summary below.

Description: Structural and tree damage were reported in the Wyoming area (east of Sarnia) after a storm passed through. No injuries have been reported. An NTP ground / drone survey was completed on July 21, 2022. Damage assessed as EF0 tornado, with an estimated max. wind speed of 125 km/h, track length of 2.1 km and max. path width of 200 m. Tornado motion was from the WSW (approx.  255 degrees). Satellite imagery review is pending.

The worst damage recorded in Wyoming was the collapse of an open-construction barn.
