Intersectionality: Narrative, Violence and Difference

Fall Half Course.
In this course, students will discuss feminist and cultural studies theories of intersectionality, particularly as they pertain to the representation of violence against women and youth. Students will discuss differences along such axes a "race," gender, sexuality, class, and (dis)ability and explore this critical approach in relation to a selection of postcolonial and Indigenous literature, film and photography.
