RESEARCH
Our research focuses on developing new class of bioactive nanomaterials, polymer-based drug delivery vehicles and cell-instructive hydrogels for diverse biomedical applications. These hydrogels (with their tunable mechanical, biological and stimuli-responsive properties) have immense applications in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, biopharmaceutics, 3D bioprinting and biomanufacturing sectors. Here, we specifically aim to (1) innovate at the biomolecular and cellular level to develop new healthcare materials and nano drug delivery systems (2) exploit cell-hydrogel interactions to study the mechanistic pathways, and (3) design new therapeutic medical implants for potential clinical translation.
