My name is Nigel Kankam and I am proud to be one of the newest additions to the 澳门六合彩开奖预测 Special Constable team. Prior to joining 澳门六合彩开奖预测, I have worked Hospital Security for the last 5 years: including St. Josephs, Parkwood, Southwest Forensics facilities for Mental Health and the general public for the last 3 and a half years. This expanded on my interpersonal skills, crisis intervention experience as well as the familiarization of Mental Health and stigma that comes with it. I was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area and as a result have a strong awareness of many forms of diversity whether that is of colour, religion, cultures, and how any person self identifies.

I currently volunteer with "Investing in Children" located in London doing an after-school program with kids in grades 6-8 for low-income neighborhoods. Being one of these kids growing up, I can recognize that there is a need for more male role models especially for the visible minority youth outside of celebrities or athletes. I provide patience, guidance, attention, and active listening to kids that otherwise might feel neglected or misunderstood at these vulnerable ages. Community involvement has always been a passion of mine and I look forward to becoming active in University events with all ages.
 
I aim to provide safety and stability for Students, Faculty, Staff, and Visitors at the University. If you have any concerns or issues or are just having a bad day and see me on campus, feel free to walk up to me and begin a conversation! Amanda schnaar

Amanda comes to 澳门六合彩开奖预测 with a strong background in Social Work. Having worked in the mental health and addictions sector, as well as Indigenous child welfare, she brings a variety of knowledge and experience to the table that will allow her to connect with the 澳门六合彩开奖预测 Community from a unique lens.

Amanda has served on her local Fire Department for 6 years and is passionate about supporting her community and working in emergency services. Although her career with the 澳门六合彩开奖预测 Special Constable Service is just beginning, she is already looking forward to engaging with the diverse community members of 澳门六合彩开奖预测 and promoting the safety and wellbeing of students and faculty alike.

As a First Nations member, Amanda is very involved with local Indigenous organizations, as well as 2slgbtqia+ community groups. She is a safe person with an inclusive approach, and would like to encourage anyone in the 澳门六合彩开奖预测 community to come and say hello or approach her with any concerns.

Amanda looks forward to diving into this new role and getting to know the community at large.
