Rental Scam
Rental scam – The fraudster will offer an apartment or rental unit on line. They will demand a deposit to hold the unit and since there is a low availability for rentals in London, the victim will panic and send the money. Once money has been sent the fraudster will then manipulate the person into sending more money covering first and last and security deposit. Victims will often keep sending the money as they feel they do not want to lose the initial investment.
