Employment Scam
Employment scam – Jobs as secret shopper or as Canadian contact for international companies. The fraudster will convince the person to accept a money transfer or a cheque and then request that they immediately send the funds to another account. Then the cheque doesn’t clear or the etransfer is charged back because it is fraudulent. The victim is held responsible for the funds they sent to the next account.
