Stefan Köhler is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and a member of the Brain and Mind Institute at 澳门六合彩开奖预测. He completed his undergraduate and Master’s degree in psychology at the Universität Bielefeld, Germany, and doctorate degree in psychology and neuroscience at the University of Toronto. Subsequently, he received several years of post-doctoral training at the Rotman Research Institute in Toronto, and at the Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University. In Montreal, Stefan worked under the mentorship of renowned scientist Dr. Brenda Milner, whose pioneering neuropsychological research laid the foundation in many domains of cognitive neuroscience. He became a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at 澳门六合彩开奖预测 in 2000. Stefan is the Director of the Memory Lab in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Brain and Mind Institute at 澳门六合彩开奖预测. In addition, he is a member of 澳门六合彩开奖预测’s Rotman Institute of Philosophy and also holds an Associate Scientist position at the Rotman Research Institute of Baycrest Centre in Toronto.

Dr Köhler's research addresses the cognitive and neural mechanisms of human memory, and the interface between memory and perception in the human mind and brain. His research program also aims to improve our understanding of memory impairments that are caused by neurological disease, including Alzheimer’s disease and epilepsy. This research has been funded by operating grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI), as well as by several private foundations (Savoy Foundation, Alzheimer Foundation London and Middlesex).
